Miss Kim has been at First Pres for 3 years and loves the sense of community and the commitment shown by the staff. She focusses on ensuring students learn as well as have fun in order to engrain the message that learning is fun.
Miss Heather received her AA Degree and Preschool certification from Pierce College and her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Northridge. She has been teaching at First Pres for 12 years because she loves the friendly and community environment. She enjoys the children in her class and helping them grow emotionally, academically and spiritually. When she is not at school, Miss Heather enjoys interior design and crafting.
Miss Beverly received her ECE Certificate from St. Claire College and her Bachelor’s Degree from Windsor University. She has been teaching at First Pres for 21 years, because she loves the excitement she sees in the students when concepts begin to click as well as the dedicated teachers and caring, nurturing community environment. Miss Beverly delights in showing patience and care in her interactions with young learners and genuinely has their best interests at heart. Miss Beverly takes this same selflessness with her outside of First Pres; like baking over 300 deserts for her daughter’s wedding.
Miss Jennifer has been teaching at First Pres for 9 years. She enjoys First Pres because the openness to new ideas and the family environment. Her favorite thing about teaching is when she hears the students laughing, because she knows they are having fun in their learning environment. She starts to see the children building more interpersonal skills and begin to build friendships. When Miss Jennifer is not at First Pres she enjoys scrapbooking and creating beautiful memories because “a picture is worth a thousand words, but memories are priceless.”
Christina Del Real
Miss Christina graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from California State University, Channel Islands. She has been teaching at First Pres for 3 years and loves seeing how much fun the children have at school. She enjoys creating lessons that are based on the interests and needs of her students. In her classroom, Miss Christina aims to create a solid foundation to continue building on as they go about their academic career. When she is not at school, Miss Christina loves all things Disney and frequents Disneyland.
Miss Barb has been at First Pres for 20 years. She received her Preschool Certification from UCLA Extension Education. She enjoys teaching for the joy of seeing the curiosity of her students. Her favorite thing about First Pres is the small, family centered community, where she can teach as well as nurture and care for her students. When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending time in nature.
Miss Juliana earned her Associates degree and Early Childhood Development Certificate at CSUN and College of the Canyons. In her third year with First Pres, Miss Juliana enjoys sharing ideas and collaborating with teachers and pursuing innovative teaching methods for her students. Seeing her students’ “aha I did it!” moments, the excitement and laughter they experience are favorite parts of her class. Upon leaving preschool, she hopes her students remember the love, fun and good times they had in her hands-on learning classroom. When not with her students, Miss Juliana enjoys activities such as hiking, biking, board games, and gardening with her family and friends.
Miss Alicia has been teaching at First Pres for 3 years. She went to school in Buffalo, NY then studied at Mission College in California. Her favorite thing about teaching is the family centered environment fostered at First Pres as well as the creativity she gets to see in her students in the Purple Room. She loves seeing her students grow in confidence, and when she is not teaching she enjoys roller skating and has even participated in past Roller Derbies!

Miss Gladys received her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Northridge and has been teaching at First Pres for 18 years. She loves seeing the friendships and relationships that form between students. In her classrooms, she enjoys hearing the interesting and unique thoughts her students have and express. She hopes her students remember what a special, happy place First Pres has been and that they are valued and loved. When she is not at First Pres, Miss Gladys loves all things Harry Potter. She has read through the entire series three times!

Miss Donna received her Early Childhood Credential in Florida before moving to California in 2002. She began teaching preschool 27 years ago and is a former teacher at First Pres. Miss Donna loves watching children as they discover new things and thrives to make school a fun, exciting place to be. When she is not teaching, Miss Donna enjoys volunteering at church where her husband is a pastor, and loves spending time with her eight grandchildren.

Miss Mary received her Early Childhood Certificate from UCLA. She has been teaching at First Pres for 18 years and loves the nurturing environment. Her goal is to create a classroom where students can learn hands on and take with them the joy of learning.

Miss Genny received her Early Childhood Credential from UCLA and has been teaching at First Pres for 25 years. What has kept her at First Pres so long is her love for the sense of community and comradery between parents and teachers. She loves creating a fun learning environment and hopes her students remember her class as an enjoyable experience as they grew. When she is not teaching, Miss Genny loves being outside; spending her time gardening and feeding hummingbirds.
Ms. Romestant received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Education, from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. She has been teaching at First Pres for 3 years and enjoys passing on her love for music to her students. She hopes her students leave her class with a love for music and using it to glorify God. When she is not at school she loves to cook, collect China and ride her motorcycle!
